An Accident In The Park

Nashruddin, Mohd Aman and Aini were playing in the park one fine afternoon. It was very hot and they were all perspiring profusely but they continued playing in the park. Aini decided to rest under the shade of a tree for a while.

After that Aini was out of sight. The boys did not notice this and they began to play basketball. She came back later with her friend, Kartini. She was actually taking the keys to her friend's bicycle. Then she sat on her friend's bicycle. They were cycling around happily when they heard a horrible scream.

A boy had knocked his head on a wall while he was cycling and was badly injured. His head was bleeding. Mohd Aman and Nashruddin were very near the scene of the accident and immediately went to help him. They could see the flesh of his head where his skull had cracked. Blood was oozing out from the back of his head. He was yelling for his mother and father who should have been nearby. It seemed that he was speeding and not wearing a helmet.

A lot of people tried to help him. His parents finally came and called the ambulance. Nashruddin, Mohd Aman, Aini and Kartini were discussing what had happened when the paramedics arrived and sent the injured boy to the hospital. Everyone was shocked that such an ugly accident had happened.

Nashruddin and his friends had learnt an important lesson. They made sure they put on their safety helmets whenever they went cycling or rollerblading.
